I don’t mean when your parents send to psych or whatever but honestly when people who don’t know what the fuck they’re talking about think they know all the answers and tell you how to get better. Like when people find out you self harm and they don’t try and get rid of your depression they just demand that you give them your razors or whatever. I know what’s best for me because I’m the one dealing with depression.

people don’t understand just how much depression impacts you.

• it does stop you from doing homework, it’s not just us being lazy.
• it makes it really hard to wake up, so yeah sometimes we need to miss school
• it makes you isolate yourself, we don’t actually want to lose all our friends
  
• it makes you really nervous about weird things, so sometimes we just don’t want to do new activities or sports or whatever

why can’t people accept that?
